BiG Data and Politics - the Report
Our team was the first to prepare a report in Polish about a strategy which has recently revolutionised political marketing in the US and Western European countries, that is about using big data in election campaigns.
The report consists of two main parts. The first one looks at the general principles of data‑based electoral campaigning and provides suggestions regarding where to source for the data and how to use it – both online and in the real world. In the second part, we analyse case studies of politicians whom big data helped with their electoral successes: Barack Obama, Emmanuel Macron, and Donald Trump. We refer to examples of the innovative use of big data in managing the work of volunteers, communicating with the electorate, and putting together electoral programmes.
